Ohio Secretary of State counts illegal votes

A recent comparison of Ohio voter data against BMV records found that, in the last couple of election cycles, 44 non-U.S. citizens cast ballots in the Buckeye state. (For the sake of comparison, more than 5.5 million Ohioans voted in the 2012 presidential election.)

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted (R) says that none of the 44 swayed the outcome of an election one way or another, but if the system that allowed them to vote in the first place goes uncorrected, eventually results will be affected.

Husted has referred the 44 cases to the office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine for additional review.

Democrats responding to the Secretary of State’s investigation suggest that he should find better things to do with his time.
