Proposed law would clear way to help pets in emergencies

shutterstock_321579791The Ohio House has passed a bill that would allow first responders to give aid to injured pets. Some emergency personnel have expressed confusion as to whether or not they are permitted to administer any sort of aid…be it bandages and wraps to stop bleeding or even mouth to snout resuscitation…when responding to emergency scenes. Lawmakers hope that the bill will clear things up for medics to help a Fido or a Fluffy in distress.

The bill now goes to the state senate.
