Jaiza Page takes a seat on Cbus City Council
While several notable names were in the pool for the newly vacant spot on Columbus City Council, Jaiza Page was selected to take over the seat left open by Hearcel Craig. Page, an assistant city prosecutor (and daughter of Olympic boxing champion Jerry Page), was unanimously appointed last week and Democratic Party leaders say she could be the face of the next generation of Democrats. Sherrod Brown’s daughter, a finalist for Columbus City Council
Columbus City Councilman Hearcel Craig was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in November. City council will begin its next term on January 12th. With 19 applicants for the post, narrowed down to 8 finalists, council will announce its new member at that meeting. Among those finalists are Elizabeth Brown (daughter of Sherrod), assistant city attorney Jaiza Page and Columbus school board member Ramona Reyes.
