$30,000 reward now offered in Golden Corral homicide case

Update: The widow and children of the man killed outside of a local Golden Corral restaurant last month joined with Central Ohio Crime Stoppers today to announce a reward in the case. Crime Stoppers, Golden Corral, members of the local Somali community and others have pooled their resources to offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Columbus Police have released images of their suspect in the shooting death of a man last week at a Golden Corral restaurant on Dublin-Granville Road.
40 year-old Shueyb Abukar was leaving the restaurant with his wife and six children when an unidentified black male approached the family and attempted to rob them. The suspect shot Abukar twice and then ran to a nearby getaway car where another person was waiting behind the wheel. The vehicle sped off. Abukar later died at the hospital.
