Child inside home shot with gun fired from the street

An 11-year-old child was the victim of a shooting on the city’s South Side this morning. Detectives say the gunfire came from a vehicle into the home on South 9th Street and struck the child in the hip. Witnesses report that a gold SUV with two people inside was spotted leaving the scene.

The youth is now at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
