Police ask for help in ‘peeping Tony’ case

Three weeks ago, detectives say that Anthony Hopper went into a home goods shop in the Stoneridge Plaza and followed a woman who was wearing a sundress around the store. According to the woman, when she stopped in the bedding department, she noticed that Hopper was holding his cell phone camera under her dress. A witness yelled for him to stop and Hopper ran from the store.

He is also a suspect in similar voyeurism cases in Newark and Heath. Today, he’s sitting in the Licking County jail facing charges of voyeurism, assaulting a police officer and fleeing.

Gahanna Police believe that there may be other victims or witnesses and they would like to speak to those people. They ask that if you have any additional information on ‘peeping Tony’ that you call them at 614-342-4240.  (jj)
