Slugger with a baseball bat in his pants robs gas station
Columbus Police are asking for help in identifying a man who held up a gas station over the weekend with a baseball bat.
This clown went into the Shell True North station on Ridge Mill Drive with a mask covering his nose and mouth. Once inside, he pulled an aluminum baseball bat out of his sweatpants and threatened the clerk…striking the cash register with the bat several times and demanding money. Once he got the cash, ‘slugger’ ran from the store.
Police describe the guy as “male, white, possibly Hispanic descent, 18 years old, 5’10”-5’11,” 150-160lbs, black hair, wearing a royal blue hooded sweatshirt, a fleece mask covering his nose/mouth & dark gray sweatpants.” One other physical characteristic…he apparently also has enough room in the front of his pants to accommodate a baseball bat.
He left the scene in a white Ford Mustang.
If you know anything about this guy, you’re asked to call CPD’s Robbery Unit at 645-4665 or email tcress@columbuspolice.org with info.
