AIDS Resource Center building facade collapses in Short North
Two days after crowds of Gallery Hop goers filed by their High Street location, the building facade of the AIDS Resource Center at 1033 North High Street collapsed. (Thankfully, no one was hurt.)
The collapse was discovered Monday morning and clean-up crews have been at work removing the rubble. The property manager says that the building was constructed in 1932. The sandstone facade was apparently added-on many years ago.
ARC Ohio is thankful that no one was injured as a result of this incident. We have been assured by the property manager that the remaining facade is structurally sound & are working together to look into what caused this to occur.

Owners will need to present a plan to make repairs to the building. The Victorian Village Commission must give its approval in that area for all exterior construction work. (jj)
