A recent technical glitch resulted in over 10,000 Ohio drivers receiving duplicate registrations and plate stickers in the mail. The machine that prints such things had a bit of a hiccup and, when it reset, it began reprinting the stickers and documents. The department sent a notice to drivers that received the duplicates, explaining what had happened and asking folks to please send the duplicate items back using a postage-paid envelope.
Cost to me and my fellow Buckeye citizens? $10,034.
