Boil alert lifted for Westside residents

614now Staff

Update: The boil alert has now been lifted for residents impacted by Monday’s water main break on the city’s west side. The alert had been extended into today so that proper testing could be done. That has now been completed and the all-clear given. So….drink up!

Previous: Main break affects Westside water service 7/27/15

A construction crew working to replace water lines on the far west side of town accidentally struck an unmarked line and broke a water main. The areas impacted are North of West Broad Street between I-270 and Hilliard-Rome Road, and South of West Broad between I-270 and Inah Avenue. Service is expected to be restored soon. Once that happens, a boil order will be in place 24 hours. (jj)
