Car2Go drops service in Clintonville and Bexley

Car2Go debuted in Columbus in 2013 and over time has expanded its service to varying parts of the city. Last year, the program grew to include Grandview and Bexley.

Tough luck, Bexley….you’re out!

Car2Go has announced plans to pull back on certain areas of service including Bexley (that was quick) and Clintonville.

Better find another way to get to Rag-O-Rama!

The 41¢/minute car-share service says that few customers were using the vehicles in the soon-to-be eliminated areas of town. Meanwhile, customers in the areas that will continue to be serviced by Car2Go had complained that vehicles were not available when they went to use them. (Car2Go has roughly 300 vehicles in their inventory.)

The service reminds people that they can still drive one of the vehicles outside of the service area, but it needs to be returned to a Car2Go designated location.

Changes will go into effect August 26th.
