Charity brings new wheels to foster kids this holiday season
NBC4 reports that a woman known as “The Bike Lady” is making the holiday season a lot brighter for hundreds of children in foster care this year.
For many kids, ‘a new bike’ is something that gets highly featured on a list to Santa. A charity started by Kate Koch eight years ago helps to make that holiday dream a reality. This week she delivered almost 300 bicycles to Franklin County Children Services (assembled by inmate volunteers at the Pickaway Correctional Institution).
Kate is continuing to accept donations for the cause and hopes to bring Children Services 800 more bikes before the year is over. (jj)
