Coleman appoints panel to consider guidelines for police body cameras

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman today announced nine individuals selected to sit on a special panel designed to set protocols and guidelines for the use of those cameras.

  • Robert Strasbaugh / Division of Police
  • Dr. C. Dexter Wise III / Faith Ministries Church

Coleman estimates that the work of the committee will take 4 to 6 months to complete.

City Council President / mayoral candidate Andrew Ginther recently said that the city will have officers using the cameras by the end of 2016. (jj)
