Good deed of the day

Early this morning, a Columbus man was driving in Franklinton and noticed a house fire. So he stopped his car and got out to warn the neighbors. Firefighters were called to the fire, which started on Dana Ave. just before 6AM. The only injury reported was a burn a firefighter got on his shoulder; he was treated at a local hospital.

According to NBC4, vandalism is common at the vacant property (that caught fire), and it appears that someone was squatting in the house. As of now, no cause for the fire has been determined. (deb)
