ICYMI: Grandview teenager found safe

Update: Sadly, with so many missing person stories that come up, often times those stories just fade away with no resolution. Today, I followed up on a couple and there was a recent positive development in one case.

Abbigail Dencer, the teenager reported missing a few weeks ago from her home in Grandview has been found safe. She was located last week. When she went missing, the case garnered a lot of attention, but I don’t remember anything being said about the positive outcome. From the official update:

Abbigail Dencer, who was reported missing more than two weeks ago, has been found in west Columbus after officers received a tip on her location. She was alone and appeared to be unharmed when investigators made contact with her.

We need more of these stories to have similar outcomes.

Police are continuing their search for a missing 17-year-old girl from Grandview.

Abbigail Dencer was last seen at her family’s home at around 10pm last Tuesday (12/1). Authorities believe that she may have run away. She is described as white, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 103 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
