Joe Biden to speak this week in Columbus
Vice-President Joe Biden is coming to Columbus.
The former presidential candidate / future presidential candidate (?) will speak at Ohio State University on Thursday night. His remarks at the Jesse Owens Recreation Center are expected to focus on the prevention of sexual assaults.
The Vice-President has been active in the Obama administration’s It’s On Us campaign to empower college students in the prevention of (and the response to) sexual violence. In that effort, partners in the campaign have included the likes of Pandora, Funny or Die and the USA Network. Biden has traveled to a number of campuses to talk to students about the issue.
The VP’s visit to the Buckeye state comes as he is actively considering another run for the White House. (jj)
