Lion cubs set for public debut Wednesday at Columbus Zoo

[youtube id=”dmKtNK6CuGQ”]

August was a month full of lion cub births at the Columbus Zoo. Two lionesses welcomed litters. Wednesday, the public will get its first real chance to see one group of the young ones (3 girls, 1 boy) as they make their debut inside the lion habitat.

Zookeepers will be inside the exhibit with the young cubs to make sure that they know how to enter and exit the public display area. (The adult lions will be outside of the exhibit.)

The video above was recently released by the Columbus Zoo and shows the infants being physically examined.  (jj)
