Update: Man who set self on fire at Columbus City Hall has died
Update: The man who set himself on fire outside Columbus City Hall on Monday has died. Investigators say that the man was trying to kill himself, but they don’t know why. (jj)

Investigators are trying to discover why a man set himself on fire today just outside of Columbus City Hall. The incident happened just after 11am. No one else was hurt and no motive is known at this time.
The burning man was spotted by three city workers from the Parks and Recreation Department. One worker used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames while another used his own shirt to help.
The 58 year-old man was taken to OSU’s Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. (jj)
