Police searching for driver in fatal hit-skip accident near campus

Police are looking for the driver of a white or cream-colored sedan that was possibly involved in a hit/skip accident with a motorcyclist near campus in the early morning hours of December 12th. The rider, 27-year-old Robert Hileman, died on Tuesday from injuries suffered in that accident.

Hileman (pictured here) was heading north on North High Street near East Hudson when the other vehicle (traveling south) made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist and struck him. That other vehicle then fled the scene.

Anyone with additional information on the accident (or the driver of the offending vehicle) is asked to call Columbus Police at (614) 645-0217.
