Psych eval delivered for downtown crash driver

Netcare has released the findings of a psychiatric evaluation on Terreance Trent, the driver responsible for the downtown crash that killed Stephanie Fibelkorn and William Lewis. According to Netcare, Trent is incompentent to stand trial and likely suffers from dementia and “disorganized and delusional thinking.” Franklin County prosecutors have asked for second evaluation, which the judge agreed to this morning. No Charges filed for Downtown crash

No charges have been filed against the man, Terrance Trent, who was driving a truck that crashed and killed two pedestrians. City of Columbus Chief Mobility Engineer Bill Lewis died from his injuries in the crash Monday, and his intern Stephanie Fibelkorn died at the scene of the crash. The crash, which happened at the intersection of Broad and High St., was the result of Trent’s truck driving through the intersection and colliding with a school bus.

Witnesses said the truck was running red lights before it crashed into the school bus. Trent has said that his girlfriend, Mamie Adams, was in the passenger and was hitting him. He said he was trying to get to police headquarters. Trent was released from the hospital, but hasn’t been charged.

Investigators are still waiting for some pieces of evidence (like the school bus) and are also considering what specific charges should be filed.
