Uber offering flu shots today
Users of the popular ride share service Uber will be able to use the app to order flu shots today.
But the last person that I want to get injections from is my Uber driver. I mean, he was nice and all, but….
Uber offered a special one-day service in four markets last year that proved so successful, they’re expanding it this year to 35 cities…including Columbus. Today only, when users open their Uber app, they’ll see an option for UberHEALTH. Taking advantage of this option will dispatch a nurse (working through Passport Health) to your location to give you a flu shot. The cost is $10.
The thought is that people will do this in their office. (The service is offered from 11am to 3pm.) For the one $10 charge, the nurse will dispense up to 10 flu injections. So get ten people in your office to kick in a dollar each and it will be flu shots all around. (jj)
