Columbus makes its (final) move to woo DNC
Columbus is making its final bid to host the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Several city leaders, like Mayor Coleman, were in DC yesterday in an effort to further seal Columbus as next year’s location. The DNC should be announcing their decision in early February.

Columbus has been in the battle for the Democratic National Convention and has made it to the final three. Phoenix and Birmingham have been knocked out of contention and the final three cities are Columbus, New York City and Philadelphia. If picked, the DNC committee is considering holding it during July 18, July 25 or Aug. 22 for the 2016 convention.
