Funeral set for former mayor Dana ‘Buck’ Rinehart
The funeral service for former Columbus mayor Dana “Buck” Rinehart has been set. This Sunday (Feb. 22), there’ll be a gathering at Schoedinger Funeral Home on (6499) N High St. from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. The funeral service will on Monday at 11AM in Powell at New Hope Reformed Church, with a private burial later at Union Cemetery. (deb)

Former mayor Dana ‘Buck’ Rinehart has died
Former Columbus mayor Dana “Buck” Rinehart, who had recently battled cancer, has died. Mayor Coleman released a statement in regards to Rinehart’s passing:
I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Mayor Buck Rinehart. Our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family during this difficult time. Throughout his career and even in his final days, Buck continued to express his love for the City of Columbus. I am grateful to have known Buck over the years, and have always appreciated his kindness and support. Our entire city mourns the loss of this charismatic leader. He is a Columbus icon who will never be forgotten.
