The Flood Christian Church in Ferguson, Missouri was founded in March of last year. Just 8 months later, it was burned during the riots that followed a grand jury’s decision not to charge the officer involved in the shooting death of 18 year-old Michael Brown. With an estimated cost of $250,000 to rebuild, Flood’s congregation has been forced to hold their services elsewhere.
Meanwhile…in Columbus….members of the Vineyard Church and the First Church of God on the East Side combined resources to raise more than $135,000 to help get Flood back on its feet. (jj)
