Crowdfunding Spotlight: Goodfellow’s Tonsorial Parlor
Each week, we give a bit of space and focus to a local would-be entrepreneur or an already-existing Central Ohio businessperson seeking support . Generally, this is someone who has ideas and goals for a product or service, but needs a bit of a boost. These folks turn to crowdfunding and we help to get the word out.
This week, we check out Dale Grinstead-Mayle. Dale and his husband Matt have plans to open Goodfellow’s Tonsorial Parlor at 761 South High Street near the Brewery District. As their logo states, Goodfellow’s will specialize in offering clean cuts, close shaves and classic shoe shines.
We will offer traditional and modern barber cuts, straight-razor shaves, beard trims, facial massages, scalp treatments and shoe shines. Our goal is to use and sell quality products and support local business and distributors whenever possible.
-Dale Grinstead-Mayle
Dale earned his barber license earlier this year and is looking forward to he and Matt opening their shop. Originally from Lake County, Ohio, Dale moved to Columbus in 2002 and says that he has greatly benefited from the community. He says that he and Matt are anxious to “give back and make a positive impact through quality services and honest business.”
They are asking for help in getting their business off the ground. They are offering a number of service perks to those able and willing to help. (jj)
