Guilty: Parents ripped off while dropping kids at daycare
A Columbus couple that had been accused of ripping off unsuspecting parents as they dropped their kids off at daycare has learned their judicial fate.
Prosecutors said that Stephanie Brown and Brian Green took cars, purses, cash and credit cards from moms and dads as they dealt with their children. There were more than twenty cases in all. Guilty pleas came this week. Brown took a plea on identity theft and receiving stolen property. She will undergo drug and alcohol treatment and three years or court supervision through an intervention program. Green took a plea on similar charges and will likely receive a three year prison term and be ordered to make restitution to the victims.
