Hit & run leaves odious results

According to police, a driver crashed into a utility pole and gas meter early this morning at E Noble St. and S Washington Ave. The driver was attempting to turn at the intersection, but hit the pole; he then fled the scene. The damaged meter caused a gas leak, but Columbia Gas was able to stop the leak and replace the meter. Police are still searching for the driver. (deb)
