Amazon gets closer to Columbus
Amazon got a little closer to calling Columbus home earlier this week, when it’s (potential) Dublin-based data-processing center’s development plans were approved. Dublin eagerly wants Amazon’s $1 billion project to reside in its city, and already gave the company a parcel of land valued at $6.8 million. And even with a nice chunk of land and approval, it’s still not a done-deal; building permits still need to be obtained.
Maybe with Amazon coming to Columbus, I’ll finally be able to figure out what to buy with all those Amazon gift cards … (deb)

Kasich says Amazon center coming to central Ohio
Columbus might have lost out on Stone Brewing, but Kasich said that Amazon has confirmed their data center location in central Ohio. At a campaign stop he announced that he had met with Amazon officials and they have committed to putting their center here the Dispatch reported, and both Dublin and Hilliard have offered up space for the $1.1 billion project. Amazon has not yet confirmed the location.
