Microsoft Easton opens today

Microsoft Easton opens today

True to their word, Microsoft will open their doors on Thursday at Easton Town Center. The new store (Microsoft’s third in Ohio) is near the AMC Theater and KDB. The store plans a 10:30am opening complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Each of the first 500 people in line will receive a gift card worth anywhere from $10 to $1000.

The store will have everything that the Microsoft customer could want, offering the full line of company products. And for gamers, expect plenty of space devoted to Xbox.

In conjunction with the opening and with the spirit of the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, there’s this bit of good-hearted news. COSI, The Columbus Museum of Art and other such local organizations will receive a total of $1 million in technology grants.  (jj)

Previous: Microsoft announces Easton launch date 6/15

Microsoft has announced the opening date for their first central Ohio location. August 20th the new Easton store will open its doors for the first time. The outlet will be near the AMC Theater and KDB.  (Microsoft is actually claiming some of the space formerly used by KDB.) This will be the computer company’s third Ohio store. They expect to have a full line of products to sell in addition to a repair center and troubleshooting desk.

A posting on the Microsoft website promises a lot of fun…and dancing (?)…at the grand opening. (jj)
