Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 2.53.27 PMWine & Canvas provides a great, creative way for couples and friends to spend an evening. It’s also a great way to make new friends while showing off your skills with a paint brush.

The company was founded just five years ago in Indianapolis. It proved to be a great outlet for people who wanted to be social, enjoy some adult libations and explore their creative side. Soon the idea took off and now Wine & Canvas studios can be found all across the country including six Ohio locations with one right here in Columbus.

Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 2.52.28 PM‘The painting class with cocktails’ meets at 132 Graceland Blvd for special sessions led by local artists. So don’t walk in thinking that you already have to know what you’re doing. Truth be told…you don’t. You just need to go in with a desire to have a good time and connect with others. The professionals will guide you through the actual painting.

Sessions are listed on Wine & Canvas’ website calendar so you can pick and choose which events you want to join. Four to five opportunities each week seems to be the norm. And many Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 2.52.58 PMevents take place outside of the studio. Recent sessions happened at Camelot Cellars, Spagio Wine Bar, Max & Erma’s (Gahanna) and Claddagh in the Brewery District. Events are usually around $35 and spaces do fill up. So pre-registering for your spot is recommended.

And if you have a special event coming up…personal or corporate…Wine & Canvas can set that up too. Birthdays, showers, holiday celebrations, parties of all sorts. They’ll make it happen.
