Most-educated city in the state? Take a guess.
The folks at 24/7 Wall St have taken a look at recently-released U.S. Census figures to judge which city is the most-educated in each state.
In Ohio, patting ourselves on the back, Columbus turns out to be the most-educated. 90.5% of residents have at least a high school diploma and 34.7% of residents hold at least a bachelor’s degree. The high school diploma figures are nearly 5% better in Columbus vs the national figures. And while the state has a smaller percentage of residents with college degrees vs the national numbers, Columbus’ figures are actually better than the national average.
Nationally, Boulder,Colorado is the most-educated city in the county with 58% of the population there holding at least an undergraduate degree. (jj)
