Olde Town East pup survives gunshot to the face

Residents in Olde Town East report that someone in their neighborhood shot their dog in the face on Monday. They say that King (a pit bull mix) was off of his leash and made his way into a neighbor’s yard. When King’s owners saw that he had wandered out of their yard, they called him home. It was then that the neighbor charged the dog and shot him. Veterinarians were able to save King but say that a 2-inch variation in the bullet’s path would have taken his life.
