25 years after the song Ice Ice Baby went to number one, rapper Vanilla Ice is still establishing his street cred. This week the one-hit-wonder was arrested and charged with burglary in the state of Florida, accused of breaking into an abandoned house and taking items to use in a home restoration that he was doing next door. Ice is currently at work on season 5 of his D.I.Y. network home remodeling show “The Vanilla Ice Project.”
The items taken have since been returned and Vanilla (star of the 1991 film Cool As Ice) has been released on bond. He calls the incident a misunderstanding and says that the situation has been “blown out of proportion.” He remains scheduled for his appearance in Columbus at this weekend’s Home and Garden Show.
