Protestors welcome Hillary to Columbus
Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton was in town this morning for a speech at the Columbus Athenaeum.
The 2016 candidate’s appearance brought out protestors including those from the pro-life movement and supporters of Bernie Sanders (Clinton’s main rival for the party’s presidential nomination).
Inside the hall, Clinton’s remarks included comments about Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. Clinton said that the New York billionaire ‘insults women every chance he gets’ and that she would love to debate him.
According to a reporter for the Washington Post, Clinton was not the draw that you (or the candidate) might have expected.

It has been an eventful week for the former Secretary-of-State. She issued an apology for having used a private e-mail server while a member of the Obama administration. Her personal control over emails received during her tenure has been a source of controversy for Clinton. At the same time, new polls released have shown Sanders overtaking Clinton’s lead in the early contest states of Iowa and New Hampshire. (jj)
