Pup of the week: Fern

Pup of the week: Fern

614now Staff

fernnow614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.

First off…congrats to Buster. Buster was the CHA pup that we featured last week and….he has been adopted. Now…let’s take a look at Fern.

Fern is a 2 year-old boxer / mix. She was transferred to CHA from a crowded, rural shelter. She weighs approximately 50 pounds and is white with some small tan spots. She is an energetic, playful girl. Fern would love to live with an active family who can give her daily exercise and attention. She enjoys her walks around the shelter and really loves playing with other dogs. Fern gets along with everyone else at the shelter and is their go-to dog for play group.

Her adoption fee is listed at $150. She is up-to-date on all of her shots, and has been spayed and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal.  (jj)
