Pup of the Week: Henry

614now Staff

614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption.

Quick note: the shelter wants to remind everyone about their $5 Feline Friday special. All cats and kittens have a $5 adoption fee every Friday from now through Thanksgiving.

Also…congrats to Rocky! Rocky was recently featured on 614Now and was adopted earlier this week!

henrynowNow…let’s take a look at Henry.

Henry is a 4 1/2 year-old Jack Russell Terrier / Mix. He was transferred to CHA from a crowded, rural shelter and is ready to find a permanent loving home. He weighs approximately 14 pounds and is mostly white with some small patches of tan. Henry loves going for walks and exploring outside. He has been very mild-mannered in his kennel and calm around the shelter.

Henry’s adoption fee is listed at $150. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:

CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal.  (jj)
