Severe weather leaves thousands without power

Those thunderstorms from last night did more than uproot trees in German/Merion Village. AEP reports that over 4,000 customers are without power because of the storms. And about 1,950 Franklin County customers (196 in Ross County) didn’t have power as of 4:30AM this morning. Overall, AEP reported 13,000 customers lost power last night, and no estimated time was given for when it will be restored. (deb)

Severe weather possible this afternoon

Severe storms led to fatalities and terrible damage in parts of the country in the last couple of days. The threat for ugly weather comes to Ohio today. It looks like the skies could start to turn for us after 3pm with our greatest chance for ugly weather between 5pm and 9pm.  (jj)
