Valley Dale Ballroom isn’t feeling the love this Valentine’s Day

The historic Valley Dale Ballroom has been shut down (until further notice). Well, that’s one to kill those “loving feelings” of brides who had booked weddings at the venue. And the same goes for the six bands and solo artist who were booked for the “Valentine’s Day Blues Blast.”

It’s not really clear why the event space isn’t operating. NBC4 went to the owners of the ballroom, The Arlington Company, and got a statement from their attorney:

“Earlier this week we were informed by Marty Finta that had ceased operations at the Valley Dale Ballroom. Yesterday, Mr. Finta returned possession of Valley Dale to The Arlington Company which has no information on what events may have been booked by Mr. and Mrs. Finta and is not in the business of operating ballroom events.”

For the time being, it looks like Columbus brides are going to have to shuffle their guests to another venue. (deb)
