Spookiest Houses in Columbus — Gore Decor

Spookiest Houses in Columbus — Gore Decor

It’s not unusual to see seasonal Halloween yard decorations popping up this time of year. Let’s be real, as soon as August is over — pumpkins become a mainstay for two months, but thankfully there’s also solid local representation from the ghost and skeleton scene.  Giant inflatable spiders: those are big too.

But there’s a particular destination on Garden Road up in Beechworld that’s a little different. And by “different” we mean, nightmare-worthy.  The folk art installation in its front yard might not stun you on the drive-by, but get out of the car to get a gander this year.  Photos don’t do it justice. Think about baby doll corpses with their eyes stabbed out.  Or weirder yet, check out the dead dollies perched on primitive stick stilts.

All of this comes with a perfect, balanced aesthetic that demonstrates true mastery of the holiday spirit and the dark arts. You’ll find it in the first block off of High Street.img_1508

Have you seen some killer Halloween House decor?  We want to hear about it!
