Dunn’s girlfriend to 911: ‘My boyfriend hit me really bad’

Though The Ohio State University and Urban Meyer were hesitant to report the exact cause of Bri’onte Dunn’s “rules violation” that got him kicked off the Buckeye football team, various sources yesterday reported that it resulted from an “altercation” with his girlfriend.

Now new details have emerged that make “altercation” look like an understatement.

“My boyfriend hit me really bad,” Dunn’s girlfriend told a 911 dispatcher. “My lip is bleeding and I have a black eye.”

According to the 911 call, Dunn hit her in the face and choked her.

She said she left her apartment and came back. When Dunn saw her on her phone, he “went crazy,” striking her in the face, choking her and storming out of the apartment.

Coach Urban Meyer has a sign posted in the Buckeyes’ practice facility with team rules, one of which is “treat women with respect.” Sadly, it looks like this one didn’t sink in for Dunn.

7/19/16: Dunn is done at Ohio State after rules violation

Ohio State running back Bri’onte Dunn was dismissed from the football team following a violation of team rules, according to statements from Ohio State Athletics and Urban Meyer.

Various sources report the rules violation resulted from an “altercation” with his girlfriend.

Dunn likely would have been one of the first men to touch the ball in the 2016 football season.

Originally from Canton, Dunn graduated in May with a degree in sports industry. He had one season of eligibility remaining.
