Former Buckeye Malcolm Jenkins Raises Right Fist in Protest
Former OSU Buckeye and current Philly Eagles Safety, Malcolm Jenkins, and a few of his teammates raised their right fists in protest before their game in Chicago.
According to 10tv, Jenkins said that he would lead his teammates in this kind of demonstration against “social injustice.”
ESPN writer, Ian O’Connor wrote on the subject, “They should be proud of their willingness to take this stance, and all right-minded people around the league should be proud of their actions, too.
Jenkins was looking to make a statement and told ESPN he didn’t want his actions to be vague — “I think you immediately understand what the issue is,” Jenkins said, “when you see a black man raise his fist.”
