As you might recall from your high-school trigonometry class, pi (often written as the Greek letter π) is the ratio of a circle’s diameter to its circumference–approximately 3.14.

Though you might not use this fact in your everyday life, this math fundamental becomes serious business every March 14th for pie lovers everywhere.

It turns out there are quite a few pizza pie and sweet pie places around town who are offering substantial discounts in honor of Pi Day, and lucky for you, we’ve got the scoop.

Blaze Pizza on campus is offering its make-your-own pizzas for only $3.14 today.

Domino’s is discounting all of its online orders by 50 percent all week thanks to Pi Day.

Pizza Hut is offering 3.14 years of free pizza for any math whiz able to solve the problems posted on the Pizza Hut blog.

Piece of Cake in the Short North is testing out some new and unique sweet pies today.

Whole Foods is offering a $3.14 discount on sweet pies and a $2 discount on take-and-bake pizzas today.
