Hot Chicken Takeover Takes Over Columbus Food Truck Fest

Yes, that is a trophy full of hot fried chicken.

Joe DeLoss of Hot Chicken Takeover continues his #winning streak with a recent first place victory in Columbus’s Food Truck Fest.

This makes the second year in a row that Hot Chicken Takeover has taken trophy. They are now a two time winner of the “Best Food Truck.”

The runners up had Kenny’s Meat Wagon at 2nd place and Mikey’s Late Night Slice at 3rd. Buckeye Donuts rounded out the victors with a fourth place finish.

There were five rounds of daily voting (which seems slightly excessive) and all of the 60 trucks were eligible for winning, but ultimately Hot Chicken Takeover won.

Their name is starting to mean quite a bit in Columbus, as this victory comes right off of Hot Chicken Takeover’s big time investment for growth. They truly are taking over.

I, for one, welcome our new Fried Chicken Overlords.

Congrats to the winners and everyone involved. To the victor go the spoils (well, maybe not in this case.)
