Was 2015 really that bad? If Ohio’s new record $1 billion worth in liquor sales are any indication, the answer might be yes.
Overall sales were up a whopping 7 percent from the year before, with both the retail and the wholesale liquor markets experiencing growth, according to the Ohio Department of Commerce.
That’s 13 million gallons of booze. That’s enough to fill almost 50,000 kiddie pools at a comparable number of dirty frat parties.
Cheer up, Ohio! Let’s hope that we can make 2016 a year worth remembering.
