Ray Ray’s Hog Pit teams up with new Grandview Butcher & Grocer

The mind behind famed barbecue food truck Ray Ray’s Hog Pit has announced the beginning of a new business–and a new partnership with Grandview’s upcoming specialty grocery store, Butcher & Grocer.

James Anderson’s newest meaty undertaking is called Hungarian Butcher, dedicated to crafting sausage and charcuterie (classy meat, cheese and crackers, that is).

The owners of Butcher & Grocer, Tony Tanner and Tim Struble, are excited about the new partnership, especially since one of the store’s goal is to serve up locally-sourced meat.

Expect to see pre-assembled trays of high quality charcuterie from Hungarian Butcher at Butcher & Grocer when it opens in early summer.

3/15/16: New Grandview butcher serves up locally-sourced meat

Grandview is getting a new butcher shop committed to serving only grass-fed, locally-sourced meats.

Dubbed The Butcher & Grocer, the new specialty shop is the creation of Tim Struble and Tony Tanner, both of whom understand how to respect the animal.

The two men take a “whole animal” attitude towards their craft, and have pledged not to use anything that comes out of a box.

Expected to open in early summer, the shop will be located at 1089 W 1st Ave.
