Columbus Theaters Hold Election Night Watch Parties
Two local AMC theaters are teaming up with CNN to watch what everyone knows will be a spectacle of an election night, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Instead of biting your nails at home, you can anxiously munch on popcorn as the fate of our country unfolds into untold disaster or salvation (depending on your political allegiances.)
AMC Lennox and AMC Easton will each have a color, or party assigned to them, though anyone from either party is welcome to join. Lennox will be red, for Republicans, and Easton will be blue, for Democrats.
Each location will be featuring CNN’s Election Night in America Coverage, and while invitations were sent out to AMC stub members and reservations were made, you can still try to squeeze in as both places can hold a few hundred people at a time, according to the Dispatch.
Doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7 PM.
If you can’t get into the movie theaters, you can watch election night coverage at the Hyatt Regency or Renaissance hotels were the Democrats and Republicans of Ohio (respectively) are holding their watch parties.
Or go to the nearest bar, grab a pint, and wait for all this to blow over.
