Nearly 1.8 Million Ohioans Voted Early

Nearly 1.8 Million Ohioans Voted Early

Secretary of State Jon Husted announced that 10,931 more people voted early in 2016 over 2012.

Even though more than 10,000 extra early voters, Secretary Husted figured that number would be higher.

“When you consider that early voting has become more popular and voters have become more comfortable with it over the course of time, you would think that that number would have grown,” Secretary Husted said.

Ohio’s big turnout hit record numbers in Franklin County and across the state. Stats from the Sec. of State’s Office shows 1,798,277 people voted early in this year’s election compared to 1,787,346 in 2012.
