In an interview on CNN, Ohio governor and presidential hopeful John Kasich made an ambitious campaign promise: reuniting now-defunct progressive rock band Pink Floyd.
“I saw ‘The Wall’ in Pittsburgh–it was absolutely incredible–I don’t even have to think twice–it was the best,” Kasich said, responding to a question about the best concert he’s ever been to.
“And if I’m president I am going to, once and for all, try to reunite Pink Floyd to come together and play a couple songs.”
Kasich went on to say that the first song he would want the band to play would be “Money,” in a nod to the nation’s tenuous financial situation.
Good to know we finally have a man fighting for the return of high-quality rock music in this country.
