New leadership for Columbus City Council

As expected, Columbus City Council member Zach Klein was named the body’s new president on Monday. The day marked the beginning of the new term for council and also saw the swearing-in of new members Michael Stinziano and Elizabeth Brown.

Klein fills the post formerly held by the city’s new mayor…Andrew Ginther.

The choice to fill a vacancy on the city council will be announced next week. As for Klein, he has announced plans to run for Franklin County prosecutor later this year.
