Trump on OSU Victims: “Really brave people, amazing people.”
Yesterday, President-elect Donald Trump arrived in Ohio to meet privately with victims of the Nov. 28 attack on campus, their families and the first responders that arrived on the volatile scene. While there was no official word on which victims were to attend, but The Columbus Dispatch did report that professor emeritus William Clark, who was hit by the car Abdul Razak Ali Artan was driving, would not be present.
Trump spoke to media but did not take any questions at the Schottenstein center after meeting the victims, saying it was an honor to be in Ohio and meet with the victims and first responders. OSU President Michael Drake reportedly met with Trump in a separate, private meeting.
“It’s an honor to be here. These were really brave people, amazing people. The police and first responders were incredible. The job done in particular by one young gentleman was incredible. I got to meet him and he was very brave. The families have done so well, to come through this so well. So a lot of respect.”
